Celebrities Mourn Death of “Notting Hill” Star Emma Chambers, Who Died at 53

Emma played the cheerful younger sister of Hugh in Notting Hill.



British actress Emma Chambers, best known for her roles in the TV series The Vicar of Dibley and the Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant-starrer Notting Hill, has passed away. The actress, who was 53 at the time of her death on Wednesday, February 21st, died of natural causes, confirms BBC.  


Her agent John Grant revealed the news of her untimely death, by revealing that she will be greatly missed. "Emma created a wealth of characters and an immense body of work," he added. 


The comedian, leaves behind husband and fellow actor Ian Dunn and "father figure" Ian McKellen. The news of her death has shocked many of her friends in the industry, including co-star Hugh and Dawn French.
